Wedding Ceremonies at Yew Dell
This package includes rental of the Castle and Cabin for the couple to get dressed, and choice of Event Lawn, Walled Garden, or Gheens Barn for your ceremony. You’ll have four hours to get dressed, take photos, and hold your ceremony.
Pricing ranges from $1,200-$2,200, depending on day and time, plus $500 damage deposit and 6% sales tax.

Garden Cottage
The Garden Cottage overlooks the pollinator meadow and woodlands beyond, it provides a dressing area in close proximity to most of Yew Dell’s event facilities. The main floor includes a full kitchen and bathroom, common living room, and two additional rooms.
Log Cabin
Size: 24′ x 16′
Capacity: 15 guests
This rustic 1840s cabin serves as an additional dressing area. It has a restroom and is heated and air-conditioned.

Garden

Capacity with cathedral seating: 40 Guests
The Walled Garden is an intimate space that is ideal for small ceremonies. It is also a beautiful place for first-look photos and family portraits.
The Walled Garden is unavailable to rent for 2024 during Castle Gardens construction.
Tents may not be used in the Walled Garden.

Capacity with cathedral seating: 300 Guests
The Holly Allée, an iconic row of holly trees, guides you and your guests to this serene area which provides a memorable garden setting for a beautiful wedding ceremony.
Tents may not be used in the Event Lawn.

Barn
Size: 30′ x 50′
Capacity with tables: 75 Guests
Capacity with cathedral seating: 120 Guests
The Barn originally served two purposes: the upper level was used for hay storage and the lower level had stalls for livestock. The barn was strategically built into the hillside so that both levels could be accessed from the ground level. The barn can be used for a ceremony, reception dinner, or part of cocktail hour. It is heated and air-conditioned.
Wedding Ceremony-only Notes
- Ceremonies are available at Yew Dell, during our wedding season, May-October.
- If you are interested in hosting your ceremony and reception at Yew Dell, please visit our Weddings page for details.
- Ceremony-only rentals can be hosted on any day of the week, subject to availability. Please use the form below to inquire about pricing.
- The damage deposit is refundable in part or in full after the wedding if no damage occurs during the event. Repair costs for any damage will be deducted from the damage deposit at Yew Dell’s discretion.
Elopement Package
With more than 60 acres of natural beauty, our gardens and grounds provide a unique backdrop for your intimate ceremony. Our elopement package is available for twenty guests or fewer, including your photographer and minister, and allows for free admission and parking for everyone. This package is available Tuesday-Friday from 10 am – 4 pm, for 3 hours. You may choose any location in the gardens or grounds outside of any buildings, and it will be a standing only ceremony.
The Elopement Package is $500 plus 6% sales tax.
