The Arboretum is the perfect place to take a quiet, relaxing stroll among one of the best tree and shrub collections in the region. As you walk, you will see extensive collections including dogwood, redbud, beech, holly, magnolia and many more.
Holly was one of Klein’s favorite plant groups – at one time his collection numbered more than 200 varieties.
The Arboretum plantings were started in the late 1960s as row crop production was phased out.
One of the benefits of the arboretum is the ability to see mature specimens of some trees that are still considered relatively new to the market.
