Theodore & Martha Lee Klein
While Theodore Klein’s artistry and horticultural prowess often get top billing, it was the partnership with his wife of 67 years, Martha Lee, that was the secret to the success of Yew Dell Farm. As Klein family lore has it, Theodore would constantly show up in the kitchen at lunch time with varying numbers of nursery guests and Martha Lee always had just the right amount of food to send everyone off happy and well fed – nothing fancy but always right on the mark.
