Hounds on the Grounds
Bring your dogs for a stroll in the gardens!
On most Sundays, beginning March 31, 2024 to December 15, 2024 from Noon to 4pm, we allow leashed, well-behaved dogs for Hounds on the Grounds. Excluded (blackout) Sundays are listed below.
- For the safety and enjoyment of all guests during our Sunday Hounds on the Grounds days, dogs must be held on a leash at all times and cleaned up after.
- Hounds on the Grounds blackout dates for 2024 are:
- June 2 for our Fairy Day event
- October 27 for our Boo Dell event
- We allow service animals as defined by the ADA to accompany visitors at any time.
- No pets may be left in any vehicle in Yew Dell’s parking lot.
- Please treat all wildlife and our garden cats with respect.

Take Exit 14 (Crestwood/Pewee Valley: Route 329) and turn right at the end of the ramp. Stay on the 4-lane 329 Bypass, to the second traffic light at Route 146/ LaGrange Road. Proceed under overpass and turn left onto Old LaGrange Road. Follow Old LaGrange Road for approximately half a mile to Yew Dell’s entrance on the right.
Take Exit 14 (Crestwood/Pewee Valley; Route 329) and turn left at the end of the ramp. Stay on the 4-lane 329 Bypass, to the second traffic light at Route 146/ La Grange Road. Proceed forward at light, go under overpass and turn left onto Old LaGrange Road. Follow Old LaGrange Road for approximately half a mile to Yew Dell’s entrance on the right.
Take Exit 19B from I-64 to I-265 (Gene Snyder Freeway). Continue on I-265 to I-71 North, Exit 35A. Take Exit 14 (Crestwood/Pewee Valley; Route 329) and turn right at the end of the ramp. Stay on the 4-lane 329 Bypass, to the second traffic light at Route 146/ LaGrange Road. Proceed forward at light, go under overpass and turn left onto Old LaGrange Road. Follow Old LaGrange Road for approximately half a mile to Yew Dell’s entrance on the right.
Get on I-40W/I-65N. Continue on I-65N to Louisville. Take exit 125A to merge onto I-265/Gene Snyder Freeway. Take exit 30 for KY-146 toward Anchorage/Pewee Valley. Turn left onto Veterans Memorial Parkway. Turn right onto Old Lagrange Road. Follow Old LaGrange Road for approximately half a mile to Yew Dell’s entrance on the right.
Take I-65S toward Louisville. Take I-71N. Take Exit 14 (Crestwood/Pewee Valley; Route 329) and turn right at the end of the ramp. Stay on the 4-lane 329 Bypass, to the second traffic light at Route 146/ LaGrange Road. Proceed forward at light, go under overpass and turn left onto Old LaGrange Road. Follow Old LaGrange Road for approximately half a mile to Yew Dell’s entrance on the right.
