SUMMARY:April Plant Release - Plant Market
DESCRIPTION:It is unbelievable that we are getting ready to start our third season of selling plants online!  Like last year\, we will be incorporating online plant market releases to compliment our in person plant sale events at Yew Dell.  The online release of our Trees\, Shrubs\, Annuals\, and Beyond will happen at 9am on Wednesday\, April 6\, 2022.  \nPlants purchased throughout April will be available for pick up at the end of April.   \nWe will publish a list of the plants for each online release a week before. \n\n\nClick here to view a full list of plants available with this release. \nVisit our Online Plant Market to see our plant selection and shop! \n\n\n\nCotinus obovatus \n\nAmerican Smoketree | It’s a tree!  It’s a bush!  It’s not Superman though\, just a super plant.  This is the native species of what people commonly call either a smoketree or smokebush.  Seeing that it can reach heights of 20-30′ it falls into the category of small tree.  Green foliage is covered in clouds of ‘smoke’ looking light pink flowers in the spring.  The tree puts on arguably the best show in the fall when the foliage turns to yellows\, reds\, and oranges. (Pictured above.) The trees being sold this spring have been grown in 3 Liter Rootmaker containers that prevent circling roots and promote a more robust root system.  See below for pictures of these containers and the root systems that have grown in them. \n
